ECW News

ECW meetings are now on the 1st Wednesday of each month. The September meeting will be on the Wednesday September 1.

The ECW Silent Auction will be held in December this year to make Christmas shopping easier for everyone here at Epiphany. So… Please bring items you think are worthy of the auction (and that you can part with,) to the church. We do have storage this year. As a suggestion; don't forget to go to your favorite dining place, spirits purveyor, movie theater, etc., and ask for a donation. Let your imagination loose and anything that is legal, ethical and in good taste will be appreciated.

Cursillo

The next Cursillo session (#142) will be held November 4-7, 2010 at Beckwith. All interested in becoming pilgrims should contact Fr, De.

Beckwith/Blue Lake Conference

This year ECW and Altar Guild have combined to hold their Fall Conference October 8-10, 2010 at Beckwith. The Rt. Rev. Charles F. Duvall will be the guest speaker. This is a wonderful opportunity to get together with other women in the diocese. More information will be available shortly.

The Nursery & Sunday School

Supervised gathering/playtime begins for the kids at  8:45 am.  Children's Chapel begins promptly at 9:45 and will last until a minute or more before 10:00.  Sunday School itself begins immediately after and will last roughly 35 minutes until the children rejoin the congregation during the passing of the peace.

Sunday School Help Wanted

The Christian Education program needs your help! Sunday School is an important part of our ministry here at Epiphany and it is really rewarding to see the children's faces light up with excitement and questions.  I'm asking you to please donate one Sunday a month to either teach elementary age Sunday School or keep the nursery.  This allows all teachers to participate in church, as well as preventing burnout.  That this program is vital to our growth and its rewards are immeasurable.  The program is not difficult; so don't be scared that you can't do it!  You can!  All the children really want is someone to show an interest in them guide them in discussion, and most importantly... listen.  Please give this some thought and prayer and join our team today. Sign up sheets are on the bulletin board in the fellowship hall or contact Iduna Hollis or Katharine McCallum.
