Rev. Dr. Glenn Rohrer

 

Fr. Glenn was born in Columbus Ohio he holds a B.S. in Social Work, MSW in Social Work, and a Ph.D.  in counseling from The Ohio State University.  He holds a M.Div. from the Methodist seminary in Ohio and completed additional studies at Sewanee School of Theology.  He has a son, Kyle who is an attorney in Delaware Ohio and three daughters, Anna who is in graduate School at Boston University, Sara who is in Medical School at Virginia Commonwealth University, and Lea who is an Elementary Special Education major at the University of West Florida.  His wife Lois is a pediatric medical practice administrator in Pensacola.

Fr. Glenn is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist.  Prior to his ordination to the priesthood he served in various administrative and supervisory positions in mental health, criminal justice and substance abuse programs.  He was also a Professor and Administrator at East Carolina University where is hold the rank of Professor Emeritus.  He has served a Director of the School of Justice Studies and Social Work at the University of West Florida where he developed Master’s degree programs in both Criminal Justice and Social Work.

Fr. Glenn is active in the Diocese where he has served on the Racial Reconciliation Committee and the Prison Ministry Committee.
