BYLAWS OF THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH WOMEN,
EPIPHANY CHURCH CRESTVIEW FL
ARTICLE I. Name
The name of this organization shall be the Episcopal Church Women (ECW)
ARTICLE II. Mission Statement
The Episcopal Church Women, together, share the love of God through prayer, service, and education in knowing the Christ and making Him known.
ARTICLE III. Membership
Membership in this organization shall be open to all women of the Epiphany Episcopal Church.
ARTICLE IV. Diocesan Officers
Section 1. The officers of the organization shall be: President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Section 2. The President shall be elected for two years and shall not be eligible for reelection consecutively. She shall take office January 1st of the year following her election.
Section 3. The other officers shall be elected for a term of two years and shall begin to serve January 1st of the year following their election. Only confirmed women shall be eligible to serve as officers. No officer shall be eligible to serve consecutive terms in the same office.
Section 4. Any vacancy, except the Presidency, occurring during the term of any officer, shall be filled by appointment by the President for the un-expired term. When the un-expired term is greater than twelve (12) months of the original term, the appointment shall be considered the full term. Any vacancy in the Presidency shall be filled by an election for the un-expired term. In the event the President must be absent from a meeting or is otherwise unable to preside, she shall designate the vice president or one of the other officers to preside in her absence.
ARTICLE V. Annual Meeting
Section 1. There shall be an Annual Meeting of The Epiphany ECW in December to hold elections and plan for the coming year.
ARTICLE VI Amendment
These bylaws may be amended or revised at the Annual Meeting by a two-thirds vote of the members present.
Parliamentary Authority
Roberts' rules of Order, Revised, shall be the parliamentary authority for this organization.
